Crossing the big waters again...

Born and raised in Norway I've been living in California since 1997. This spring, my boyfriend and I are going to Prague to get our teaacher's licences so that we can move to China next.
I LOVE to travel, and learning new languages and cultures. Can't wait to see Asia. We are planning to go there by railway via Norway...
Any tips, recommendations, warnings, etc. are welcome.
